Work and Research
Dr Hellen Namawejje is a lecturer in the Department of Statistical Methods and Actuarial Science, School of Statistics and Planning, College of Business and Management Science of Makerere University, Uganda. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Tanzania, an MSc in Mathematical Epidemiology from the University of Dar-es-Salaam and a BSc Edu (Mathematics and Economics) from Makerere University. Her previous research includes mathematical modelling, Optimal control, Pension Management, and Applications in Actuarial Modelling. She has seven years of teaching, conducting research, and student supervision experience. Her particular interest is in mathematics and its application in actuarial science, agricultural, and health sectors to translate research evidence into policy.
