Dr Ronald Tombe

Work and Research
Dr Ronald Tombe holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, an MSc in Software Engineering, and a BSc in Information and Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology, Kenya. He has published research articles in medium-to-high-impact factor journals and international conferences. His research interests are artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, and human-centred interaction to provide solutions in the agricultural sector that improve extension service delivery for indigenous communities. Dr Tombe is a journal reviewer for Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (IEEE), Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters (IEEE), Canadian Journal of Remote Sensing, and International Journal of Computer Vision (IGI-Global). He is a Lecturer and the Program Coordinator for the Africa Institute of Indigenous Knowledge System (AIIKS) Node at Kisii University.
