Work and Research
I am a Scientist, employed by the South African Medical Research Council, qualified with a PhD in Medical Physiology. My research centers on obesity and its associated complications, including diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. In my current role, I have been tasked with setting up an African Chronic Kidney Disease Consortium, which aims at pooling data from existing African studies in order to answer vital research questions related to chronic kidney disease and provide reliable evidence to support the health service and create policy solutions.
