Work and Research
Thanks to the 2-year career development fellowship I received from the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development in 2015, I got training in science skills. Even that, it took over 2 years after my appointment as Lecturer in the University of Health and Allied Sciences to get my first publication. But as at October 2019, I have 15 full-text publications in reputable journals of which I am the first author on 11; a fit that many of my colleagues are yet to achieve. Also, not only was I the first to get a scholarship – the prestigious DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship – to pursue my PhD at the renowned Heidelberg University but also the first to receive 5 short-term fellowships to attend various international conferences and trainings.
