Work and Research
I am an active researcher in the areas of poultry health and production, ethno-veterinary medicine, animal nutrition and, food and water security. Outcomes of my research include establishment of community herbal gardens for livestock health, graduation of students, blind peer-reviewed publications and inspiring students and farmers. I have graduated 11 Honours, 6 Masters and 8 PhD students. Currently, I am supervising 3 Honours, 12 Masters, 7 PhD students and 1 Postdoctoral Fellow. I also am in the Oversight Committee for the Customised Intervention Grant, and am mentoring 10 University of Venda (UNIVEN) female researchers. I serve in several university committees and am a Deputy Chairperson in one of them.
