Dr Maxwell Akansina Aziabah
Work and Research
My interest in science and leadership are shaped by my daily encounters and experiences with my students and colleagues in academia, and via those annual field practical training programs which normally interface communities with students/academia aimed at finding practical solutions to local and national problems. My scholarly research, mainly focused on education and social policy, social mobility and higher education, and theories of institutional change, offer avenues for policy level discourses on these challenges. My seminal work on "The Politics of Educational Reform in Ghana: Understanding Structural Persistence in the Secondary School System" is shaping the education policy discourse in Ghana and across Africa.
