Work and Research

I have 12 years research experience, 37 technical papers with over 33,000 recorded reads on ResearchGate and 229 citations on Google Scholar. Supervised over 60 postgraduate and undergraduate students. I am also currently supervising 5 undergraduates and 3 postgraduate students (1 PhD and 2 Masters). Due to my dedication to research, teaching, and service, I received the 2019 Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Africa Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty. I was a member of a three-member team that developed a Health, Safety, and Environment Management Plan and also a Risk Management and Procedure policies for one of the mining and oilfield supplies companies in Ghana to shape its operations safely. I am currently the Principal Investigator for an LPG value chain assessment for one of the sixteen regions in Ghana. This is to help influence national policy documents on the technical and safety issues associated with the LPG value chain and also promote the safe and sustainable use of LPG to meet the SDGs, COP26, and national policies to promote cleaner energy use for both domestic and commercial purposes by 2030. There are plans of extending this project to all other 15 remaining regions to build a holistic document on the state of the LPG value chain. I am also part of a team pushing to establish a petroleum-related research laboratory for the School of Petroleum Studies for the University of Mines and Technology to assist in promoting impactful research outputs. My research focuses on: i. Application of local additives/chemical/materials for oil and gas fields applications ii. Oil and Gas Gathering, Transportation, Processing, Storage and Usage iii. Pipeline Design and Construction iv. Drilling Optimisation (Drilling Fluids and Cementing Technology) v. Sustainability, Environment, Health and Safety
