Prof Andrzej Kijko

Work and Research
Prof Andrzej Kijko is an expert in engineering geophysics and seismology, numerical and computational techniques, and applied statistical methods. He focus his research on the development of mathematical methods used to accommodate poor and incomplete data in hazard and risk modelling. He has extensive skills in modelling earthquake hazard and risk for critical infrastructures, mining catastrophes, and the effects of natural hazards on disaster management, insurance, and engineering industries. He actively participates in fundamental research, postgraduate supervision, and interdisciplinary joint collaborations with other local and international research institutes and industries. He has published 2 books, 2 chapters in books and over 140 journal papers.
