Ms Carmen Muller

Work and Research
My whirlwind love affair with research started in 2012. During my five years as a junior researcher at the University of Pretoria I have learned and excelled in my field of study. My main research focus is on the quality parameters involved in the potato industry, from the field all the way through to the consumer. This includes aspect such as nutrient analysis, sustainability and classification for the industry and consumer market. The applicability of my research to actual hurdles experienced in the South African potato sector has ensured that all my projects completed thus far have been requested and applied by industry. My PhD project will focus on making the South Africa potato sector competitive at a local and international level through precision and sustainable production.
