Work and Research
The development of novel sampling and analytical methods for environmental pollutants, including denuder based sampling techniques for gas and particle phase semi-volatile air pollutants; the use of lichen biomonitors; novel graphene-based materials for volatile organic compounds; and the synthesis and application of quantum dot based fluorescence sensors. Target analytes include polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides, personal care products and pharmaceuticals.
