Work and Research
Dr Bourblanc has specialised in public policy analysis with a particular emphasis on water and land issues in Southern Africa. Her work is driven by an interest in the politics of water, i.e. the political dimensions of the water-society nexus.
Within GovInn, she contributes to the axis on the Governance of the commons, natural resources and agriculture, developing an approach in terms of political ecology. Political ecology examines the political dimensions of environmental issues and the interactions between power relations within society on the one hand and studies of the environment (including scientific studies) on the other hand.
