Work and Research
I am Associate Professor, holder of a PHD in Science of Education in the didactics of foreign languages. I am interested in the teaching of culture; ways in which the cross-cultural contact of languages affects teaching and learning; the training of foreign language teachers in a cross-cultural context and postcolonial education. I have a number of peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals, as well as 3 books and 3 Spanish language textbooks for secondary education learners. My publications bear on proper communication management in a foreign language classroom; theoretical orientations in Spanish didactics and the kind of education necessary for emerging African nations (e.g. Cameroon).
