Mohamed is co-founder and coordinator of ANSES: African Network of Social Entrepreneurship Scholars (https://www.socialenterprise.org.za/workshop-2019). ANSES is a VLIR-UOS-funded social entrepreneurship scholarly network in Africa. It aims to enable the capacity of African academics to conduct research in social entrepreneurship in Africa. Mohamed is on the editorial team for Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies Collection for cases on social entrepreneurship in Africa (2019-2022). Mohamed’s research focus includes Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Legitimacy, BOP Ventures, nascent Entrepreneurship, and teaching cases on Social Entrepreneurship in Africa. He is a Researcher at the Economic and Management Sciences Faculty, University of Pretoria.
