Work and Research
After the completion of an Engineering degree (2005) in Water and Soil Management and then a Master degree in Environmental engineering and management, I went on to pursue a PhD within the Remote Sensing Group at the Technical University of Freiberg in Germany. The focus of my research is the monitoring of land degradation using remote sensing and GIS advanced techniques.Throughout my academic research from undergraduate to doctoral level I have specialized in developing models to study land degradation and interactions with land use, vegetation cover, and climatic parameters.
