Prof Nasrrddine Youbi
Work and Research
Nasrrddine Youbi is a Full Professor in the Department of Geology at Faculty of Sciences-Semlalia, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, Morocco, where he has been since 1987. He is also an Associate Researcher at Institute Dom Luiz, Lisbon University, Portugal since 2007. He acquired his first degree (“Doctorat de 3ème Cycle”) from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, Faculty of Sciences-Dhar El Mehraz, Fes, Morocco in 1990 and his Ph.D. degree from Cadi Ayyad University, Faculty of Sciences-Semlalia, Marrakech, Morocco in 1998. His main research interests are : (1) Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs), (2) Dating of detrital and magmatic zircon on Paleozoic rocks of Western Meseta and Precambrian rocks of Meseta, Anti-Atlas, Moroccan Sahara and Northern Mauritania and (3) Astrogeology.
