Work and Research

As a researcher I have a keen interest in pioneering life science research, with an emphasis on studying infectious diseases that impacts the African continent. My research focuses on both understanding and contending the most deadly parasitic disease in Africa, malaria. Over the past 9 years, I have established my expertise in the field of antimalarial drug development, where I have developed a novel polyamine drug scaffold. My research into this scaffold has resulted in three research publications, two of which are first authored and the other 3rd authored, with an impact factor range of 6.1-3.6 and a first authored review paper. The impact of these published papers is evidenced by the 85 citations (Google Scholar) and an H-index of 4.
