Work and Research
Over time, my research has been towards establishing the occurrence of multidrug resistance pathogenic bacterial from different food and environmental sources in Nigeria. This assists in assessing the health risk of antibiotic misuse that has culminated over the years and the need to mitigate the continuous increase of antimicrobial resistance. In other to address the ever increasing antibiotic resistance, my current research is focused on assessing actinomycetes from marine environments and plant extracts for their potential in reducing and eradicating multidrug resistance bacteria. In addition, proposing the mechanism at which such antimicrobial can inhibit or kill the bacterial is also been elucidated in our research laboratory.
