Dr Chétima Melchisedek

Work and Research
Melchisedek Chétima is a senior lecturer at the Higher Teacher Training College of the University of Maroua, Cameroon, and a Gordon F. Henderson Fellow at the University of Ottawa, Canada. His work focuses on ethnicity and identity; housing, modernity, and identity; slavery and memory; and cultural consumption and social identity. His research straddles the disciplines of history, anthropology, archaeology, and political science. His recent papers have appeared inter alia in African Studies Review, Cambridge Archaeological Journal, Africa Spectrum, Journal of Asian and African Studies, Anthropos, Anthropologica, and Cahiers d’Études Africaines.
