Mr CHRISTOPHER MABUGU

Work and Research
I am interested in the study of the dynamics of pollution in natural and man-made water bodies. My thrust is to assess the sources of pollution, the extent of the pollution and possible impacts of that pollution on the aquatic fauna and flora. My current research focuses on the use of aquatic macroinvertebrates and fish ectoparasites as indicators of pollution in the rivers and dams in a catchment area in zimbabwe. This comes on the backdrop of a bad economy for over a decade, a collapse in the sewage treatment systems leading to discharge of raw sewage into water bodies.
