Mr Jason Oberholster
Work and Research
Jason is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. candidate focusing on the role of the architectural profession in addressing the discourse surrounding the Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme (UISP) in South Africa. The research focus is on the contribution and participation of the architectural profession within the UISP. The social responsibility of architects within informal settlements underpins much of his research interest, including methods of participation that contribute towards collaborative design practices, community action planning and engagement.
