My vision for the future of research at UP and how I will contribute to this development

I think the 2025 strategic plan is a wonderful initiative. UP has so much potential to be the leading research university in Africa and a strong competitor internationally. my vision is to inspire and support students and my colleague. Each academic should have a career plan in which certain milestones are set out. As a leader in my department I will be able to support new academic staff by getting them to think about their career and where they want to be in future. in order for UP to become more research intensive every academic needs to contribute by increasing their research output.
