Work and Research
My research focuses on the effects of Aspilia africana (African marigold plant) on physiological functions of West African Dwarf rams and rabbit does. I discovered that it has growth promoting potentials as well as the ability to improve meat quality attributes and blood profile of animals fed with it. Thus, it could be a very useful agent for the management of anaemia, improvement of sensory attributes and chemical composition of meats as well as for promoting faster growth in ANIMALS NOT MEANT FOR BREEDING. This is because Aspilia africana was also observed to be deleterious to fertility of the animals.
