The passport to the success of the youth in Africa, especially in the wake of the digital revolution exacerbated by COVID19 is skills development. However, whereas there is a strong need for skills development, several challenges prevent this need from been realized. These challenges include the lack of political vision and leadership in supporting and prioritizing investments in education and consequently reforming policies to innovate in secondary education. Hence, my research focus is to investigate how we can leverage low-tech innovative solutions that can be deployed to low resource settings and unreached communities to increase access to skills development.
