Work and Research

Ulrike is a senior project manager at Bosch Stiftung with a huge passion for Africa – and a solid wish to enable progress in Africa! She lived in Zambia for 2 years, working for the drinking water exploration, supply and related 2020 development plans – which for the first time were able to consider peri-urban and informal settlements into the water supply planning. Her first step into Africa was however in 2000, when she entered Benin and travelled through to Burkina, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo and back to Benin for a final work assignment with GIZ as a water resources intern.

More about my work

Before joining the foundation in 2018, Ulrike lived and worked in Dubai, co-shaping the Regional Sustainability & Social Investment & Innovation work at Nokia,
for the Region of Middle East & Africa and specifically 10 strategic markets for ICT4Sustainability and ICT4Development - striving for a net positive impact to societies and connecting people to opportunity. She believes in the importance of communications for transformation, meditation and mental practices for resilience and creativity when embracing change as opportunity, and is a teacher for mindfulness in leadership.

Probably the only on in the room without a PHD, she is excited to Learn!

She has a Masters in Geology and a Master of Business Administration with specific focus on Strategic Sustainability Management - from Leuphana University, Lüneburg.

Nice to meet you!
