Adopted in March 2026, the resolution marks a significant moment in global debates on historical justice, accountability and reparations. However, the voting patterns and subsequent statements surrounding the declaration also raise critical questions about the political, legal and moral frameworks shaping reparatory justice.
This webinar will critically reflect on the current reparations discourse and explore what meaningful reparations action could look like in practice. The discussion aims to contribute to the African Union’s decadal project and broader conversations on justice, memory and global equity.
