AgriHero Challenges 2026 Launches to Back Africa’s Next Wave of Agricultural Innovation

The AgriHero Challenges 2026 has officially launched to support the next generation of agricultural innovators and entrepreneurs across Africa. Led by Zen Consortium under the Africa–Asia Platform and supported by partners including the African Development Bank Group, Future Africa at the University of Pretoria, the University of Tokyo, and the University of Cape Town, the initiative seeks to identify and scale innovative solutions across the agricultural value chain.

The programme focuses on areas such as climate-smart agriculture, AI-driven farming, food science, sustainable packaging, circular economy models, and smart farming technologies. Selected finalists will receive mentorship, business development support, networking opportunities, and exposure to international markets through Africa–Asia partnerships.

Applications close on 30 June 2026, with successful applicants advancing through the programme’s various stages and events.
