Bio

Holder of a Ph.D in animal physiology and pharmacology of natural substances, I did my university studies at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin. I got my bachelor's degree in animal production and health in 2014, which allowed me to immerse myself in the professional world very early. I then obtained my master's degree in 2018. I pursued my PhD to provide solutions to an animal disease that was plaguing almost every farm I was fortunate enough to be on. This disease was Newcastle which could easily decimate an entire flock of chicks in no time. This disease was the dread of the breeders and in front of their difficulty I decided to look for a solution at the same time accessible, effective on the duration and which could save the life of the breeding subjects. I consider that as much as human health, animal health is also important and deserves to be valued. So I started my doctoral studies being recruited on a project funded by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and on order of merit. I thus worked to bring new, updated and exploitable data on the Newcastle disease in poultry farms in Benin. I then opted for the valorization of plants of Beninese flora in the treatment of this disease in poultry. This research achievement is today valorized by the production of efficient and affordable poultry feed for the prevention of Newcastle disease. I am convinced that science can be put at the service of development
