Bio

My research over the course of my career has focused on marine biology and ecology; and aquaculture. I received a broad undergraduate education in aquaculture and aquatic sciences where I developed a strong desire on marine ecology and biology. I did a mini study to assess the worm burden in cultured fish. Standing out the top of my class I was awarded the three months internship on understanding and monitoring of marine ecosystem including coral reefs, seagrasses, mangrove and associated organisms. We assessed marine ecosystems in Tanzania and Kenya and later was involved in a Masma Project on coral reef ecology and stakeholder perception which resulted in a published article. In my master’s degree I continued to research on coral reefs
