Dr Natisha Dukhi is a Senior Research Specialist at the Human Sciences Research Council. She is a qualified Medical Scientist and completed a PhD in Public Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her areas of expertise include Nutrition, Adolescent and Child Health, health promotion and non-communicable diseases, with specific interest in mHealth, artificial intelligence, and gender-based violence. Her affiliations include Public Health Association South Africa, African Academy of Sciences, South African Young Academy of Science, Fellow African ChangeMakers, among others. She is a BRICS Young Scientist awardee, and recipient of the Gro Brundtland Award in public health and sustainable development.
