My main research axe is using natural substances to fight antimicrobial resistance. For my PhD, I worked on enhancement of medicinal plants used in the treatment of salmonellosis in Africa. In this work, pharmacology and biochemistry are applied to microbiology to fight against antimicrobial resistance in the management of salmonellosis. This research work includes two innovative aspects: I have succeeded in inducing salmonellosis in Isa brown male chicks with multiresistant strains of Salmonella isolated in Benin, following by oral treatment with leaves aqueous extract of Uvaria chamae and Colistin.
