Bio

My research is focused on addressing food insecurity in Africa by developing appropriate technologies, facilities, and operations that can reduce post-harvest food losses and wastes. I am doing this through proactive research activities and rigorous extension work which brings the developed technologies to the doorstep of the target farmers and other stakeholders. My research area covers, grain post-harvest technology, aquaculture post-harvest value chain, and storage facilities development and management. I have participated in several training programs in post-harvest management of crops within Nigeria and internationally. I am a member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE, since 2008), Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE, since 2006).
