Prof Riel Miller
Bio
Dr Riel Miller is a Visiting Fellow in the Futures Literacy Incubator at Future Africa. A pioneer in the field of futures literacy and the “discipline of anticipation,” he has over four decades of global experience helping organisations and governments use the future more effectively.
Before joining Future Africa, Dr Miller served as Head of Foresight at UNESCO in Paris and held senior positions at the OECD and in the Ontario public service. He has also founded Xperidox, a consultancy specialising in strategic foresight.
Dr Miller currently holds fellowships and teaching positions at leading institutions across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America, including the National School of Government (South Africa), McMaster University (Canada), and East China Normal University (China). He continues to shape global conversations on education, innovation, and the future of leadership.
